Lasertag at Port Townsend

Lola and Ally living it up in the sun!

Ally, Lola and I went to PT to stay in a brothel. Not a brothel any more but it once was. Now it’s a wonderful hotel (the Palace Hotel) where we had a lot of fun and a lot of meals out! We also went to Fort Warden to walk on the beach

When we arrived we came upon amazing derelict military gun emplacement

Dark and solemn. I love it!

Shadows and Lines!

which was a warren of double-walled rooms (presumably for explosive storage) and which had some wonderful opportunities to photograph textures and shapes.

There was also a great game of laser tag going on. I wanted to join in but instead just jumped on the chance to rattle off some photojournalism.

The wee freedom fighters scoot through the windows!

My favourite. So much motion.

I was so happy with my trusty K20d. Shooting at 800 iso with my 50-135 f2.8 I had plenty of speed even in the low light and the results are so great. Minimal grain and a happy camper (me!) If you want to see more of these images and inspect the images full size to see why the Pentax may well be a better camera than a Canon OR a Nikon take a look at the set on flickr.
